Fall 2007 Results Summary

November 9, 2007

The fall of 2007 saw a field of 25 10K runners and 4 5K runners tackle the RIM park course on a cool, misty fall day. It wasn't a bad day for running as the wind was mild and the big lake puddles from the Fall of 2006 were non-existent.

In the 10K, a long time veteran of the race picked up her first title. Carrie Theunissen completed the race course in 58:18, a mere three seconds above her predicted time. Carrie narrowly edged out Alan Rooks who ran 40:04 and was only 4 seconds off his predicted time of 40:00. A very close result indeed. Rounding out the top 3 was Carol Hughes 9 seconds under her prediction of 46:00.

Jeff Ashizawa turned in the fastest 10K time at 38:49.

Maribel Linfied bested a field of 3 others in the 5K race with a finishing time 42 seconds off her prediction.
