Fall 2008 Results Summary

October 31, 2008

The Fall of 2008 version of the race was held on a beautiful fall day with temperatures around 13C and sunshine. The field held 21 10K runners and 11 5K runners.

In the closest 10K contest in race history, Dan Burton narrowly edged out Brenda Terbraak and Rick Groot, taking the victory by 1 second. Never before have three runners been within 2 seconds of their predicted times and furthermore the top 8 within 10 seconds - simply amazing!!

In the 5k, Peter Aultman dominated the field by nailing his predicted time of 29:15 exactly. Julie Candela was second a mere three seconds off her predicted time followed by Romy Silva at 17 seconds. Peter becomes the first multiple winner of the Mostert Dash 5K trophy which came into existence in 2005.

Multiple race entrant Alan Rooks turned in the fastest 10K time at 39:46.

Jim Wendland had the fastest 5K time at 20:52
