Fall 2010 Results Summary
October 22, 2010
The Fall of 2010 version of the race was held on a cool sunny / cloudy day of about 8C. The field held 13 10K runners and 10 5K runners.
Glen Bergen picked up the 10K runners trophy coming within 6 seconds of his predicted time of 45 minutes turning in a time of 45:06. He was followed in by Peter Aultman and Rick Groot. Alan Rooks galloped to the fastest time of the day placing 4th with a time of 38:35.
The 5K featured the top three runners all finishing within 46 100ths of a second of each other. Thank goodness for that precise swiss timing :). Mike Wigglesworth took home the prize by running 24:59.78, 10.22 seconds under his prediction of 25:10. Mike Theunissen ran 25:09.51, just 10.51 seconds off his time and in 3rd place Nancy Brookbank was just 10.68 seconds off her predicted time of 29 minutes. Wow!
Phil Gibson turned in the swiftest 5K time at 20:47.
The embarrassing, shameful Shoe of Shame award went to race veteran Sydney Pereira who ran a dreadful 3 minutes and 16 seconds under his soft prediction of 58 minutes. Boo!
