Fall 2012 Results Summary

Nevember 2, 2012

Officially, it was 4 degrees but with grey skies and a howling north wind, a below zero windchill was in play (primarily at the start line while we waited to go!). The veteran volunteers (Jim, Alison & Cathy) all knew enough to bring winter parkas and were glad they did. The first shocking result was our spring 10K winner (Olena) taking the Shoe of Shame in this race by running an unprecedented 5 minutes under her predicted time. Our 10K winner Ryan Groen deserved the honour by setting a challenging time and putting in the solo effort needed to hit it. Alan Rooks also brings an increasingly rare sub-40 10K credibility to the table. Our 5K winner (Peter Aultman) showed incredible consistency by predicting his actual spring RunDown time and hitting it within 5 seconds
